Random Oracle

Just for fun — not a real prediction.

About this tool

To ask the oracle, think of a question, center yourself, and tap. The oracle replies with a short piece of guidance — or a plain yes/no nudge — drawn at random. It's a playful tool for reflection, not a real prediction, and it's free to use as often as you like.

How to use it

  1. Hold a question in mind (typing it is optional).
  2. Choose a theme — Guidance, Decision, Reflection or Lucky — or switch to Yes / No.
  3. Turn on Focus breath for a calmer moment, then tap Ask the oracle.
  4. Read the message, and ask again whenever you like.

How to ask the oracle

  1. Settle on one clear question — open questions invite better guidance than strict yes/no ones.
  2. Center yourself: take a breath (turn on Focus breath) and hold the question in mind.
  3. Tap the orb, or the Ask button.
  4. Read the message and notice your first reaction — that's often the real answer.

Good questions to ask

  • Love & relationships'What should I focus on with this person?'
  • Career'What's the next step in my work?'
  • Self'What am I not seeing right now?'
  • Decisions'What matters most in this choice?'

Oracles, from Delphi to your screen

People have consulted oracles for thousands of years — most famously the Oracle of Delphi in ancient Greece, whose cryptic lines were read for guidance. This is a light-hearted modern take: a message drawn at random to help you reflect.

A note on randomness (and the crypto 'random oracle')

Every answer here is picked with your browser's cryptographically secure randomness, so it's genuinely unpredictable. If you came looking for the cryptographic 'random oracle' — an idealised function used in security proofs — that's a different, technical idea; this page is the playful kind.

Frequently asked questions

How does the random oracle work?
Hold a question in mind, choose Guidance or Yes / No, and tap. The oracle shows a short message drawn at random — a nudge to reflect on, nothing more.
How do I ask the oracle yes or no?
Switch to Yes / No mode, hold your question in mind and tap Ask the oracle — you'll get a clear yes, no or 'ask again' style answer.
What does 'ask the oracle' mean?
It's a playful way to seek guidance: you pose a question and a randomly chosen message answers it. People once visited oracles like Delphi; here it's just for fun and reflection.
Is this an accurate yes or no oracle?
It's not a real prediction — the answers are random. But that randomness is exactly why it's a fair, unbiased way to nudge a decision when you're on the fence.
Is the result truly random?
Yes. Every outcome uses your browser's cryptographically secure randomness, so it is unbiased and unpredictable — just for fun.
Is it free and private?
Completely free, no sign-up. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded.
