About this tool
A three-card tarot reading draws three cards and reads each one in its own position — classically past, present and future. It is the most popular layout in tarot: quick enough for a coffee break, detailed enough to tell a story. You shuffle the deck yourself, choose three cards one after another, and reveal them together.

- What do the three positions mean?
- The first is what brought the situation about, the second is where it stands now, the third is where it is heading if nothing changes. The same card means the same thing in each position — only the frame around it shifts.
- Do I read the cards together or one by one?
- One by one, then look at the line they make. This tool gives you each card in its position; connecting them is the part you do. Three major arcana in a row, for instance, suggest a real chapter rather than a detail.
- Can I use other position meanings?
- Yes. Situation / action / outcome and mind / body / spirit are common alternatives. The cards do not change — you just read them through a different frame.
- Is three cards enough?
